ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Retired NBA star Dwight Howard’s dog was killed in a hit-and-run earlier this month, he said in a post on Instagram.
Howard said his dog Sunday was killed in a hit-and-run in Suwanee on June 18.

“I’m devastated because you were the dog that never left my side, the dog that stuck to my hip at all times, and the one time you wander off without me being there, someone takes you away from me,” Howard said in an Instagram post. “I need answers and I won’t stop searching until I find out what happened to my beautiful Sunday.”
He is an Atlanta native and played for the Hawks during the 2016-17 season.
