San Francisco 49ers cornerback Deommodore Lenoir was arrested in Los Angeles on Thursday, June 26, TMZ Sports is reporting.

Lenoir was arrested around 5:30 p.m. and booked for resisting a peace officer, according to the site.

Lenoir was released early Friday morning, according to jail records obtained by multiple media outlets.

He will appear in court in July, per TMZ.

Lenoir refused to give up car keys when asked to do so by law enforcement officers, setting up his arrest, according to Sports Illustrated.

Police reportedly questioned Lenoir and another man, Marcus Cunningham, on suspicion of criminal activity "when they observed vehicles double-parked and blocking traffic," SI reported.

Police also said they noticed a gun in Cunningham's car, according to Sports Illustrated.

The 49ers drafted Lenoir, 25, out of Oregon in the fifth round in 2021.

After mostly being a backup defensive back and special-teams player as a rookie, he has started for the last three years.

In November, Lenoir signed a five-year, $92 million contract extension.
