Fulham to open door for Leeds United transfer – London club could make a profit

There is no secret that Leeds United are looking to add another big transfer this summer. So far, the club has completed two transfer deals, with more expected soon.

Leeds signed Lukas Nmecha, the German forward will add some experience and quality to the frontline. Joel Piroe will have some competition after being the undisputed first choice for the past few seasons. But the Whites will still be in the market in attack.

The club are still in talks with Lecce over Nikola Krstovic. Leeds are willing to meet the asking price, but the deal will depend on them convincing the striker to accept personal terms.

Rodrigo Muniz is still a target. Fulham rejected the Whites’ initial bid early in the transfer window. The London club are adamant they will not sell the Brazilian and have slapped a £50million price tag. But this latest development has opened the door for Leeds.

Fulham are chasing Brazilian striker Romulo from Goztepe. David Ornstein revealed that the London club are in talks, after their first bid was rejected. There is confidence that they can seal a deal this summer. A new striker could open the door for Muniz to join Leeds. The Brazilian has just one-year left on his deal, and could force the London club to accept a lower fee.

The striker joined Fulham for just £6million, and could leave for up to eight times that amount.

Muniz would fit Leeds’ style

Last season, the Whites scored 95 goals. Daniel Farke set up his team to attack with width, and put the ball in the box. Joel Piroe benefitted a lot from getting on the end of chances.

Rodrigo Muniz would be a much better upgrade in his place; the Brazilian is a better finisher who thrives in the air. And with how Leeds could set up in the league, the club would get some goals from him. Fulham play on the transition quite a lot, meaning Muniz will suit Leeds’ fast style in attack.
