Former Cyclones Jones, Gilbert sign undrafted free agent deals with NBA teams

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Former Iowa State Cyclones Curtis Jones and Keshon Gilbert have signed as undrafted free agents with NBA teams. Jones has signed with the Denver Nuggets, while Gilbert has agreed to a deal with the Washington Wizards.

Jones was named the Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year. He led the Cyclones in scoring with 17.4 points per game, while connecting on 88 3-pointers this season.

Gilbert was named a Big 12 player of the week twice last season. He averaged 13.4 points, 4.1 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game.

Gilbert and Jones will likely compete in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, being held July 10-20.
