It’s unclear what that deal entails. Likely it’s a summer league deal, but it could be more. Givony mentions that Murrell is an outstanding defender and might be the most explosive athlete in the draft. That’s exactly the type of player the Jazz should be looking to bring onto their team with late picks and undrafted players.

At Ole Miss, Murrell played five years and averaged 10.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists with a 42/32/79 split. Murrell plays guard and will have to improve those numbers. But if he can find a way to improve those numbers, his combination of defense and athleticism could make him a nice player to have on the roster.

With just a few days left until summer league, the Utah Jazz appear to have their roster rounding out nicely.
