GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Packers running back Josh Jacobs held a youth football camp in Green Bay on Friday.
Jacobs hosted the event at the turf football field in Titletown next to Lambeau Field. Campers ranged from the ages of 7-14.
In year one in Green Bay, Jacobs quickly became a fan favorite, thanks in large part to his performance on the field. His 1,329 rushing yards and 15 rushing touchdowns each ranked in the top-10 in the NFL in 2024.
“I think the first thing is just how fun the game is,” Jacobs said on what he hoped the campers took away from the event. “How old they are right now, I feel like that’s where the love of the game is the most pure. Just to come out here and have fun, also pick my brain a little bit, give them some advice and help on some drills. Also just to have fun with them. I think that means a lot. To allow kids to be able to maybe talk to a guy they see on the highest level, just pick my brain. I think that can go a long way. Just to see that somebody believes in them too I think can go a long way.”
Jacobs was joined at the camp by Bay Port grad and Miami Dolphins fullback, Alec Ingold.
The Packers are currently on a break from practicing after capping off their offseason team activities with their annual mandatory minicamp on June 12. The team will reconvene for the first day of training camp on July 23 ahead of the 2025 season.
