According to Shams Charania of ESPN, Timberwolves big man Naz Reid intends to sign a new five-year, $125 million contract to stay with the franchise.
The deal reportedly includes a player option for the 2029–30 season, although it has not been officially signed yet, as contracts cannot be finalized until July 6, when free agency begins.
25-year-old, Reid, has been one of the Timberwolves' key players over the last couple of years, bringing an all-around threat when he's on the court with his impressive skill set on offense and three-point shooting.
The 2023–24 Sixth Man of the Year, Reid has helped the Timberwolves reach the Western Conference Finals in back-to-back seasons, averaging a career-high 14.2 points and 6.0 rebounds in 27.5 minutes per game.
