Manchester United's summer is starting to take shape after the initial signing of Matheus Cunha.

Ruben Amorim looks to have finally landed Bryan Mbeumo - despite advice to join Tottenham Hotspur this summer - as he's made his transfer decision. The Red Devils have been tracking the attacker all summer, and the saga seems to be drawing to a close.

Mbeumo looked destined for United until Spurs appointed his former Brentford boss Thomas Frank, who threatened to derail the deal.

However, Mbeumo isn't the only man on United's radar - and there still are plenty of deals to be done.

Daily Star Sport has a look at all the latest dealings from Old Trafford across the past 24 hours.

Mbeumo has allegedly made it clear to both Brentford and Tottenham that he'll only make a move to United in the summer transfer window.

The Cameroonian star has been heavily linked with a switch to Old Trafford, though United's initial £55million bid was rejected.

As per the Athletic, United have had another beefed-up offer rejected. It's reported that the Red Devils put £55m on the table plus an extra £7.2m in add-ons.

Liverpool's summer spending shows no sign of slowing down as Arne Slot closes in on another signing.

According to The Times, Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Preston North End shot-stopper Woodman on a free transfer. The report adds Slot will use Woodman as cover for Alisson and the incoming Giorgi Mamardashvili.

United had also been linked to Woodman - but have since handed Tom Heaton a new contract.

"When a manager comes in, he always wants to bring his own people in. Whether that's Brentford players or not, I'm not sure, but he certainly knows he can trust his former players.

"Bryan Mbeumo is one who I think could come and fit in well. He’s had good season, scored some goals and got some assists, and now has teams like Man Utd looking at him. I’d expect him to do very well at Spurs."
