A 3-0 win over ES Tunis meant the Blues finished second in their group to set up a last-16 clash with the Portuguese giants, who they last faced in the 2013 Europa League final.
Chelsea have won all three games against Benfica, and a fourth will set up a quarter-final date against either Palmeiras or Botafogo.
Nicolas Jackson remains suspended, after being sent off against Flamengo, with his ban extended from one game to three, but many of Chelsea’s biggest stars should return after being rested against Tunisian side ES Tunis.
Cole Palmer, Reece James, Moises Caicedo and Robert Sanchez are expected to return to the starting line-up, while Benfica also boast a fully fit squad after Renato Sanches shook off a fitness concern.
