Talks are underway for Jhon Duran to move back to Europe just five months after his big money move from Aston Villa to Saudi Arabia.
The 21-year-old Colombia striker has reportedly struggled to settle at Al-Nassr since he joined in a deal worth £64 million, even if he scored 12 times in 18 appearances alongside Cristiano Ronaldo as they finished third behind Al-Hilal and champions Al-Ittihad.
He had been enjoying an excellent first-half of the season at Villa, scoring 12 times in 29 games, including the winner against Bayern Munich in the Champions League plus big goals in the Premier League against Manchester City, Everton and West Ham.
Now Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce have apparently submitted a bid to take him to Turkey.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reports: "Negotiations underway with Fenerbahçe director Devin Özek in Colombia to try advance with player’s camp."
It has previously been claimed that Duran had been facing difficulties on a personal level, which have been affecting his 'mental state and technical stability'. There had been suggestions from Riyad that he could be available for a loan move in 2025/26. Other reports suggest that Fenerbahce are looking for a £15m season-long loan agreement.
Bein Sports claims that there is also interest in taking Duran back to England. West Ham, Wolves and Fulham are said to be "monitoring closely".
