Mohammed Kudus’ future has been one of the main talking points of West Ham’s summer so far.

The Hammers face the harsh reality of possibly needing to sell their star to fall in line with Premier League PSR, and that has prompted a whole host of sides to show an interest in the Ghanaian.

Both Tottenham and Arsenal have held discussions over a potential move for Kudus, with a whole host of other Premier League sides also thought to be keen on the attacker.

Graham Potter would not have wanted to lose him, but that is the reality seemingly facing the former Chelsea and Brighton boss.

Kudus to make U-turn over Saudi Arabia move

A move to Saudi Arabia has also been mooted for Kudus on several occasions, but the winger was understood to have recently turned down the possibility of moving to the Middle East.

The 24-year-old’s current preference is to remain in one of the major European leagues, but after the latest development, he may be about to make a crucial U-turn over his future.

Neom are the latest club to take an interest in the former Ajax man, having recently been promoted to the top flight in Saudi Arabia.

West Ham have placed a price tag of £70million on their star, but it will not be a problem for Neom to meet their demands, according to Tutto Mercato (28 June).

It is also understood that the upstarts would be prepared to offer Kudus an eye-watering weekly wage of up to £328,000.

For all the criticism of the players that have already moved to Saudi Arabia, it is understandable a hard proposition to say no when such astronomical figures are potentially on the table.

With that in mind, Neom’s lucrative suggestion could be enough to single-handedly alter his perception of a move to the Middle East.

West Ham should try to convince Kudus to join Neom

West Ham are seemingly resigned to seeing the forward leave the London Stadium, so it is now surely in their best interest to try and convince him to make the switch to Neom.

Tottenham’s approach for Kudus was significantly short of what the East Londoners want, and if they continue to engage with their Premier League rivals, then it could result in them sanctioning a sale for less than their desired asking price.

But if they could persuade Kudus to reconsider his stance on moving to Saudi Arabia, they would seemingly be able to get the full £70m that they desire upfront, which would do wonders for their financial situation.

If they could manage that, then the door would open elsewhere for Potter to strengthen his squad.
