According to Sky Sports News via X, Paul Pogba has completed his AS Monaco medical and is expected to formally sign a two-year contract today with a club announcement to follow.
Pogba, who turned 32 recently, is now a free agent after his Juventus contract was terminated due to a doping controversy that resulted in a protracted suspension.
Since his final football game on September 3, 2023, the former World Cup champion has been out of competition for almost two years.
Pogba was once regarded as one of the best midfield players in the world of football, but after returning to Old Trafford in 2016, his career has been marred by injuries, inconsistencies, and controversy.
Great moments were outshone with forms of inconsistency which demonstrated the team’s performances at the time too.
After another tumultuous season, Manchester United decided not to extend his contract, ending his second stint there in 2022.
A move to AS Monaco could be the best way for him to revamp his career.
