Manchester United’s transfer activity has accelerated as Ruben Amorim starts to reconstruct his squad in anticipation of the forthcoming campaign.

Since they are unable to play in the Champions League, United have recognised several attacking opportunities across Europe and are aware that they must act quickly to prevent losing out.

One of them is Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C.’s Brazilian sensation Matheus Cunha, with whom the Red Devils have agreed to a £62.5 million deal.

United swiftly acquired the 26-year-old Cunha, a top Premier League player, not only because he can make things happen but also because he will undoubtedly have an immediate impact on Ruben Amorim’s team.

Cunha had a tremendous season with Wolves, scoring 17 goals and dishing up six assists across all competitions.

But the Red Devils haven’t stopped there; they are currently making a serious effort to sign Brentford F.C.’s Cameroon sensation Bryan Mbeumo.

Manchester United’s first bid for the Cameroon star was rejected since they have been preparing their second bid.

David Ornstien said via The Athletic yesterday that the second bid was not enough to meet Brentford’s demands.

However, now Fabrizio Romano has now come out saying that the second bid was not rejected.

According to Fabrizio Romano via YouTube, Manchester United are still in direct contact with Brentford for Bryan Mbeumo with the second bid not being rejected.

His direct words were:

My understanding is that Brentford have constantly mentioned in the talks with Manchester United, the price tag of other players in the market, this is why they want more than United offered in their second bid.

“But my understanding is not that Brentford rejected the bid and talks stopped. My understanding is the conversations between Man United and Brentford continue and they are trying to find a solution.

“Manchester United remain calm, they remain confident and they remain optimistic because the player has given total priority to United. The situation is very clear, he wants to wear red next season”.

It seems like the Red Devils are still pushing to sign the Brentford star.
