AC Milan have officially announced the departures of Joao Felix, Riccardo Sottil and Kyle Walker, who all arrived on loan during the January transfer window.
At the start of January, Milan were in eighth place in the league and had just parted ways with Paulo Fonseca, replacing him with Sergio Conceicao. They also made some signings in an attempt to turn things around, securing Joao Felix, Sottil and Walker on loan among others.
Joao Felix was the most expensive of the three, but he only managed three goals and one assist in 21 games. Walker, meanwhile, wasn’t the leader that Milan had hoped for and his performances were mostly sub-par as well. Sottil didn’t get the chance often, signed more or less as a squad player.
Milan confirm the departures
Today, on their social media accounts, Milan published three separate posts confirming the departures of Joao Felix, Sottil and Walker. It didn’t come as a surprise, as said, but it needed to be done and now the Rossoneri can move on.

“All the best for the future, João! 🍀”, “Grazie Riccardo! We wish you well for your future endeavours 🙏” and It’s been a pleasure, Kyle! 🏴”, the tweets read.
Joao Felix will thus return to Chelsea, Sottil will return to Fiorentina and Walker will return to Manchester City. Whether they will stay at those clubs, however, is a different question.
