The University of Wisconsin men's basketball team will have a pair of alums in the same NBA training camp.
Former Badgers forward Steven Crowl has signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Utah Jazz, according to a report from Minneapolis-based KSTP'sDarren Wolfson on Twitter. In joining the Jazz, Crowl reunites with former Wisconsin star guard John Tonje, who was selected by the Jazz with the 53rd overall pick in Thursday's second round of the NBA Draft.

An exhibit 10 contract is a training camp invite, with the opportunity to compete for a roster spot or a spot on the Jazz's G League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars. It will be a heavy Badgers training camp for the Jazz, whose roster also includes former Wisconsin forward Micah Potter.
Former Wisconsin men's basketball star selected in 2025 NBA Draft 2nd round
Crowl, a four-year starter for the Badgers, had a quieter senior season, averaging 9.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. But Crowl took several step forwards with his defensive presence while brining the same distributing he had his entire Wisconsin career.
The 7-footer formed a dynamic lineup with fellow 7-footer Nolan Winter to give Wisconsin versatile pick-and-pop and post options to stagger on the floor or play together. Crowl played 153 games (the fourth Badgers player to reach that mark) and helped earn 105 wins (the eighth Badgers player to cross 100 wins in his career).
He shot better than 40% from 3-point range in both of his final two seasons at Wisconsin, including 41.3% from beyond the arc last season.
