Brentford have rejected Manchester United’s latest offer for Bryan Mbeumo, turning down a £62.5 million offer for the striker.
This is according to BBC Sport.
The Bees rejected United’s previous offer presented earlier in June, which was valued at £55 million.
The striker still has one year left on his contract, with Brentford wanting “at least the same fee as Wolves have received for [Matheus] Cunha up front,” according to the BBC.
United paid £62.5 million for Matheus Cunha, with the full fee to be paid over a period of two years.
Mbeumo enjoyed a personal best season in the Premier League this past campaign, scoring 20 goals and providing seven assists in 38 games.
The Cameroonian international has reportedly attracted interest from other Champions League clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, who have recently hired Mbeumo’s former Brentford manager Thomas Frank.
Mbeumo joined The Bees in 2019, helping the club and Frank achieve promotion to the Premier League in 2021.
