Man United join Chelsea&Arsenal in race for Portugese winger

Chelsea and Arsenal are both showing interest in world-class Portugese winger. The player has been superb in recent seasons and is ready to move away from his current club. Now, the reports say that Man United too have joined the race.

The star in question here is Rafael Leao of AC Milan. He is 26 year old Portugese star who mainly plays as left winger. Leao has been superb in the recent years for both Milan and Portugal. The Italian giants rate him very highly but are now set to lose him this summer.

Milan have failed to qualify for Champions League. Hence, many top players including Leao are set to depart. The 26 year old is not short of suitors with strong interest coming from Premier League. He is wanted by Chelsea & Arsenal.

Arsenal wanted to sign Nico Williams. But, the Spaniard is now close to sign for Barcelona. Hence, Gunners are now plotting a move for Leao. On the other hand, Chelsea have long-term interest in Leao. But, the Blues are currently focused on Jamie Gittens.

Man United join the race for Rafael Leao

According to Caught Offside, United have now added Rafael Leao to their wishlist. They want a new wide forward despite being very close to Bryan Mbeumo. The Red Devils are set to part ways with all Sancho, Rashford and Garnacho. Hence, there is opening on left flank.

Leao has €175 million release clause. But, Milan are set to part ways with him for a lot less. As per the report, they are likely to accept an offer in between £68-85 million. Lastly, the reports stats that United are monitoring the situation carefully and can soon submit an offer of around £60 million.

Leao will take United’s attack to the next level. However, it will depend on what he thinks of joining them. The 26 year old must be ready to give-up on UCL football atleast for one year. This may give others clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea lead in race to sign him.
