Beto has been active on social media after the latest Everton announcement.

The Guinea-Bissau international has been linked with an exit from Merseyside after a mixed bag of a season last time out.

This saw the 27-year-old net eight goals throughout the year, but five of those came in the month of February alone, under David Moyes.

Despite this, Leeds United have showcased an interest in Beto, with the striker taking to Instagram to react to the latest Goodison agreement.

There is no doubt that the Evertonians are in desperate need of a striker ahead of the new Premier League season after losing Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

With Armando Broja also leaving at the end of his loan spell, an alternative will be required for the L4 club going into the new campaign.

Even with that being the case, newly promoted Leeds have still been linked with a £30million move for Beto ahead of their return to the top tier.

This is all bubbling under the surface while Moyes looks to build a squad ready to be competitive once again, this time in the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

It is clear that these preparations are already underway, with Everton announcing on Friday (27 June) that Seamus Coleman has signed a new contract on Merseyside.

This will see the Republic of Ireland international remain for a 17th season and once again captain the Blues.

The social media post has now been liked by Beto and former striker Victor Anichebe, with this news going down well with Everton past and present alike.

Beto exit could be in pipeline at Everton

At this stage, it is unclear whether Moyes will want to keep hold of the former Udinese forward moving forward, given his inconsistencies.

With that being said, such a high turnover in striker options could prove to be a risk, as the status quo could become highly unsettled.

The likes of Thierno Barry have been linked to Everton with the chance of taking up that main number nine mantle next campaign.

It will certainly be interesting to see what happens with Beto and whether Leeds and Daniel Farke will get their man ahead of their Premier League return.
