‘Amazing’ Man Utd star keen to join Euro giants as deal begins to take shape

Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has reportedly given the thumbs-up for a transfer to Juventus who have emerged as the favourites to sign him.

At this stage, the 25-year-old doesn’t have too many options. After all, Chelsea have decided to pay a £5 million penalty to avoid the obligation to keep him on a permanent basis, while Ruben Amorim has no intention to reinstate him in the Man Utd squad.

To make matters for Sancho, Jose Mourinho and Fenerbahce have snubbed him in favour of Al-Nassr forward, Jhon Duran.

Nevertheless, these rejections could be a blessing in disguise, as the Englishman might be granted the opportunity to reignite his playing career in Italy at one of the country’s biggest clubs, similar to his former Man Utd teammate Scott McTominay who enjoyed a majestic campaign at Napoli.

Sancho set for Italian experience?

As reported by several sources in England in Italy over the past few days, Juventus are interested in signing Sancho, opening a dialogue with both Man Utd and the player. And it now appears that the feeling is reciprocal.

According to Italian journalist Giovanni Albanese (via JuveFC), the winger is open to joining the Bianconeri, while the two clubs are close to sealing an agreement over the figures.

Nevertheless, the source reveals that the player’s hefty salary remains the main hurdle, as Juventus aren’t prepared to match his current wages.

That being said, the Turin-based giants will try to offer Sancho a relatively high payday. Therefore, they plan to offload their Argentinian winger Nico Gonzalez, which would help them make room for the United outcast on the wage bill.

The source adds that Juventus are optimistic about reaching the finish line, while the Red Devils would be delighted to offload one of the players deemed surplus to requirements.
