Though Josephus Lyles does not carry the same global recognition as his older brother, the 26-year-old sprinter brings serious firepower to the track.
He owns a personal best of 10.03 seconds in the 100m, a mark that outpaces Hill’s recently recorded time of 10.15 seconds and has broken the 20-second barrier in the 200m, with a standout time of 19.93 seconds.
Josephus also has gold medal pedigree, having contributed to Team USA’s 4x400m relay victory at the 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships.
Josephus’s 2025 season began two weeks ago with a 100m race in Florida, where he clocked 10.23 seconds, showing he's working toward peak form as the outdoor season heats up.

Tyreek Hill, nicknamed “Cheetah” for his breakaway speed on the football field, is no stranger to the track either.
While his focus has long been on dominating the NFL, the 31-year-old turned heads on June 13 with a shocking 10.15-second 100m dash in California, despite being over a decade removed from serious track competition.
Hill’s track roots run deep as he was a standout junior sprinter, winning gold in the 4x100m relay and bronze in the 200m (20.54 seconds) at the 2012 World Junior Championships in Barcelona.
Now, with renewed interest in sprinting and even coaching his nine-year-old son, Zev, Hill is re-embracing the sport that first revealed his raw speed to the world.
