Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly preparing to make an offer for Nice forward Evann Guessand.
The Daily Mail reports that Vitor Pereira is keen on bringing the Ivorian to Molineux as he looks to bolster his attack this summer. The West Midlands outfit sold last season's top scorer Matheus Cunha to Manchester United earlier this summer for £62.5m, although that fee will be paid in three instalments.
Cunha is a massive loss for Pereira, given that he was a key man in their survival, having scored 15 goals in 33 league outings. The Brazilian offered a versatile profile, which Guessand does possess, able to play as a number nine and out wide.

Wolves are expected to focus on several areas of Pereira's squad, including attack, following Cunha's departure. They are set to make Jorgen Strand Larsen's move permanent by paying a £23m fee for the Danish frontman.
Pereira will still have money to spend and a move for Guessand could be on the horizon at a reasonable price. Nice are asking for around £20-25m to part ways with the eight-cap Ivory Coast international who bagged 12 goals in Ligue 1 last season.

Wolves aren't the only club interested in the 23-year-old, as long-term admirers West Ham United are also in the race. The Hammers aren't said to be preparing an offer, which could mean there is more urgency being shown by transfer chiefs at Molineux.
Should Guessand make the move he could become Pereira's second summer signing following Fer Lopez's arrival. The Spanish midfielder joined earlier in the window in a £19m deal, but Fabrizio Romano has revealed that they are expected to conduct more business.
