Tino Livramento aiming to replicate Anthony Gordon tonight as England U21s take on German U21s…

**England U21s are looking to defend their European Champions title tonight in Bratislava kicking off at 8pm against Germany U21s with the game being shown live on Channel 4.**

The two sides have already met in the group stage of the tournament with Germany coming out 2-1 winners on the night, but England have shown fantastic form since then making it to the final.

Newcastle Untied's Tino Livramento has been instrumental in England's success so far in the tournament and will be involved from the off tonight as Lee Carsley as named his side for the final.

Two years ago Anthony Gordon was part of the England U21 side that lifted the trophy and also scooped the Player of the Tournament award. While Livramento may not pick up the latter, he'll certainly be hoping to get his hands on the trophy tonight.

There are plenty of familiar names in the England squad tonight

Former Magpie Elliot Anderson will also start in Bratislava tonight after he has impressed throughout the tournament. Scotland must be kicking themselves that he turned his back on them to pledge his allegiance to England.

Alleged Toon target James McAtee will captain the Young Lions who boast several players linked with Newcastle in the squad.

Harvey Elliott starts after his double against the Netherlands in the semi-final while Hayden Hackney and Samuel Illing-Junior who have both been linked to the Magpies in the past make the bench.

Anthony Gordon was in the form of his life following the Euros win in 2023

Germany will no doubt be feeling confident having already beaten England, but Tino Livramento didn't play in that game and neither did James McAtee, so this will be a different test.

It's going to be an exciting final, and here's hoping that Tino Livramento can return to Newcastle a hero like Anthony Gordon did two years ago.

That Euro success propelled Anthony Gordon into the best season of his career so far, and maybe it can do the same for Tino.
