AC Milan interested to sign young Chelsea star on loan

AC Milan are showing interest in one young Chelsea star. They are keen to improve their squad after a tough recent season. Hence, they want to sign the Blues star on loan.

Milan ended the last season on a very hard note. They have finished on 8th position in the Premier League. As a result, they will miss UCL football next season. This has resulted in many of their players leaving the club.

Milan are keen to sign new midfielder this summer. Tijjani Reijnders has left despite signing a new contract this winter. He was very important last season and hence his departure will leave a huge void that will be needed to fill urgently.

Currently, Milan are trying to sign Granit Xhaka and Ardon Jashari. But, they are finding it hard to sign any of them. As a result, their talks have stalled and they can miss out of both of them. Hence, the Italian giants have Chelsea star as an alternative option.

AC Milan have Chelsea star on their radar for midfield rebuild

The star in question here is Andrey Santos. According to TEAMtalk, Milan are planning to sign Santos on loan. They are unable to sign him permanently as the Blues value him at more than €50 million. As of now, this amount is too much for the Italian giants to spend on one player.

Chelsea rate Andrey Santos very highly. They have included him in their Club World Cup squad. The 21 year old impressed a lot in the recent game despite playing only 24 minutes. Hence, he can be made a regular member for squad next season. But, there is another side to this story as well.

Chelsea do have Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia. Hence, Andrey Santos may struggle for regular game time. The Blues can then allow him to leave on loan as his recent loan stint turned out to be a huge success. Santos can also agree to join Milan as he can learn a lot by playing regularly in Serie A.
