Arsenal have the chance to bring in some new signings this summer

Arsenal have an important couple of months ahead of them on the transfer front as they look to bolster their ranks. It is no secret that they need to boost their attacking department. Injuries to the likes of Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus meant they ended last season with Mikel Merino out of position up front.

Mikel Arteta’s side have the chance to bring in some reinforcements this summer. They also have the opportunity to let some players head out the exit door. With that in mind, here is a look at their window predicted by AI...

Arsenal backed to boost attacking ranks

Arsenal have been predicted to fork out £65million to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko. They have been crying out for a new attacker over recent times and he would fit the bill at the Emirates Stadium. He has proved that he can score goals in both Austria and Germany and needs to test himself in England now.

Sesko, 22, joined Leipzig back in 2023 after catching the eye with their affiliate club RB Salzburg. He has since adapted well to life in the Bundesliga and is one of the most talented players in his position. The Slovenia international has scored 39 goals in 87 games in all competitions to date, 21 of which came this past campaign.

The Gunners have been backed to lure Palmeiras winger Vitor Roque back over to Europe for £35million. The 20-year-old has a bright future ahead of him in the game and could be a useful long-term option. He has played once for the Brazil national team so far in his career and will be eyeing more down the line.

Barcelona snapped him up back in 2024 as a teenager. However, he struggled to make the impact he would have wanted to with the La Liga giants. They loaned him out to Real Betis before he went back to South America a few months ago.

Arteta’s men are also being tipped to snap up Brighton and Hove Albion wide man Kaoru Mitoma for £40million. The 28-year-old’s pace and power can cause serious problems to opposition defenders. He would give Arsenal another option to pick from on the wing which would be useful.

Mitoma, who has made 28 caps for Japan, arrived at the AMEX Stadium back in 2021 as a bit of an unknown quantity. Prior to his transfer, he spent time on the books at Kawasaki Frontale. He has since adapted well to life in the top flight and has found the net on 24 occasions in 108 outings.

Who could leave Arsenal?

Arsenal may need to offload some players to help pave the way for acquisitions. AI reckons Albert Sambi Lokonga will head out the exit door on a permanent basis soon. That would be a sensible move for all parties involved and would make a lot of sense.

Lokonga would get the chance to get some regular game time elsewhere, whilst he would be off the Gunners’ wage bill. The 25-year-old joined them back in 2021 as a highly-rated youngster from Anderlecht. His move hasn’t gone to plan though and he has been loaned out over recent times to Crystal Palace, Luton Town and Sevilla to get some minutes.

Oleksandr Zinchenko is a useful player to have in and around the dressing room for Arteta. He is experienced and is a top professional. The full-back also provided strong competition and depth for his position. However, the 28-year-old will want to be getting regular football at this stage of his career and he isn’t guaranteed that anymore. Therefore, AI believes he will leave in search of a new home. He has played 91 matches since his arrival from Manchester City and has chipped in with three goals from the back.

Finally, Arsenal have been predicted by AI to cut ties with Gabriel Martinelli. It would be a surprise to see him leave, especially if he went to a potential Champions League rival. However, it would build up the money needed to sign the likes of Sesko, Roque and Mitoma.

The 24-year-old linked up with the Gunners back in 2019 and has since become one of their most valuable assets. He has played 225 matches so far and has scored 51 goals, 10 of which came last term. The forward has also featured on 18 occasions for Brazil.
