Manchester United are in the middle of a reform currently as Sir Jim Ratcliffe prepares his backroom team for the 2025-26 season.

This can be seen both in the on-field management side and the off field management side of the club.

Manchester United will be looking to improve on their 15th place finish in the Premier League last season in this upcoming season. This was also a season where Manchester United did not win a several trophy.

To improve on last season, they will have to ensure that their performances improve on the field. This is according to Professional Football Analysis – who promote different roles in the world of football analysis.

This is why news that Manchester United are hiring a head of performance analysis may come to the delight of some United supporters.

The role of a performance analyst has one task. To analyse a performance and then identify its strengths and weaknesses before making recommendations for which areas could be improved.

Through hiring a new head of this essential department, they will be hoping that the recommendations made by the Red Devils’ performance analysts will be more accurate.

This is because it will allow Ruben Amorim and his coaching team to better focus their training sessions and consequently focus on the areas of the team’s performance that most desperately need improving.

This would allow the United manager to make his players more well-rounded and better overall.

This opportunity will be based on site in Manchester and has a deadline of the 10th of July. This proves that the role requires a close relationship with both on-field management staff and off-field management staff.

If the person hired for the role is prepared for the tasks the role will entail, we may see Manchester United’s performances increase significantly next season.
