Matheus Cunha and Joshua Zirkzee have both seemingly 'liked' a post regarding Manchester United's transfer pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo. Ruben Amorim's side are pushing to sign the Cameroon attacker after the Brentford striker was earmarked as a transfer target.

United have already welcomed Cunha through the door with the former Wolves striker making the £62.5million cross-Premier League move. Following a torrid campaign, the pressure is on to ensure that their worst performance in the top-flight for over 50 years was a one-off, in light of their 15th-place finish.

Across the Premier League, United's rivals are bolstering their squads and the MEN reported this week [that a fresh bid was submitted, in excess of £60million](http://Bryan Mbeumo gets Man Utd transfer approval amid £62.5m decision), following their initial £55m offer was rebuffed by the Bees.

Fabrizio Romano posted on Instagram with the latest transfer claim regarding United's efforts to sign Mbeumo.

"…with club to club negotiations to continue over final details for add-ons, fee structure and more to follow.

"Mbeumo has been clear: he wants Man United."

The post received over 413,000 likes and among them was two of United's current squad in Cunha and Zirkzee.

United reportedly faced competition from Tottenham Hotspur, now managed by Thomas Frank - who oversaw Mbeumo's progress for Brentford.

The 26-year-old signed a five-year deal after leaving Molineux, earlier this summer, and appears to be pleased with United looking to further strengthen their ranks.

Speaking after his announcement, he expressed his desire in helping the club 'get back to the top'.

“It is hard to put into words my feelings about becoming a Manchester United player," Cunha said.

"Ever since I was a child in Brazil watching Premier League games on TV at my grandmother’s house, United was my favourite English team and I dreamed of wearing the red shirt.

"I want to thank my family and everyone who has helped me make that dream a reality.

“I can’t wait for the start of pre-season to get to know my team-mates and prepare for the season ahead.

"All my focus is now on working hard to become a valuable part of the team, and helping get this club back to the top.”
