Chelsea and Manchester United are both looking to strengthen their squads ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Both sides will be looking to push higher up the table following their finishes in the Premier League next season (United finished 15th).
To do this, an extended period of summer recruitment will be needed by both clubs in order to improve their squads and hopefully their performances.
One of the targets that both clubs have been reported to be striving for is winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.
Gittens would add quality and depth to both sides. He would benefit Manchester United specifically due to his potential and level of ability already.
However, now it has been revealed by Fabrice Hawkins that Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign the Borussia Dortmund star.
The contract for his signing is also expected to have a seven year length.
The Englishman has been with Dortmund since 2022 having come through the Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund academy.
Since breaking into the first team, the winger has been able to make 76 appearances. In this time, the winger has also scored on 12 occasions.
The English youth international will line-up alongside a host of high quality players at Chelsea. These come in the form of Endo Fernandez and Cole Palmer as well as others.
The 20 year old will be looking to make a positive impact with the Blues in his first senior Premier League season. He will also be looking to bring his attributes from Germany to England.
However, with big name players already at the London side, the winger will have to battle for this spot in the team each week and earn his place in a matchday squad.
Will Gittens be successful at Chelsea? Only time will tell in that matter.
