Casemiro’s future at Manchester United has been revealed.
The Brazilian, who joined United in 2022, has made 125 appearances for the club so far scoring 17 goals.
However, this summer, his future at Old Trafford has remained uncertain. This is due to his decreased involvement last season in United’s Premier League campaign.
This decreased involvement saw the midfielder only make 24 appearances and only 18 starts. This is a total of 1,497 minutes played.
If we were to compare this with the Brazilian’s 2o23/24 statistics, we can see that Casemiro played more minutes. This is due to the midfielder playing 1985 minutes.
This is 25% more minutes than he played in the 2024-25 Premier League season.
Furthermore, with Casemiro now 33, some United fans have been speculating about his age and comparing him to other younger midfielders who arguably in their opinion would do a better job than the Brazilian.
This has led to a number of clubs being linked to the 33 year old including Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.
However, now it has been revealed by The Mirror that Casemiro is set to stay at Manchester United next season.
This is due to his belief that staying at United will give him a better chance of playing in a third FIFA World Cup. This follows the Brazilian’s involvement in the previous two versions of the tournament.
The belief of this happening was created when Casemiro was handed a call-up to the Brazilian national team earlier this month. This was by former Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti – who was the manager of the Spanish giants when Casemiro was at the club.
With Casemiro now likely to stay at Manchester United, he will most likely play a similar role to last season but his experience and leadership will still be big for Ruben Amorim’s side during the 2025-26 season.
