New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner has made things official with rapper Ice Spice, and he said LeBron James was instrumental in him getting the chance to shoot his shot.
Gardner told TMZ that he met his girlfriend at a taping of James’ “The Shop” podcast in April 2024. Gardner and Spice were guests alongside Chad Johnson and Travis Scott. That joint appearance led to them maintaining contact.
Gardner and Spice ultimately went Instagram official in late April, roughly a year after the podcast initially aired. Gardner confirmed to TMZ this week in Los Angeles that the two are still going strong. He added that the pair have found that they have a lot in common, including experiencing success at a young age.
Three seasons into his NFL career, Gardner has emerged as a star. The two-time All-Pro selection played in 15 games last season, and thought the Jets struggled, he still played at a fairly high level.
Ultimately, the Jets had a very bad 2025 season, and Gardner was not shy about saying so. He will be hoping his professional career starts going the way his personal life appears to be.
