Chelsea captain Reece James certainly played his part in helping the Blues confirm their place in the quarter-finals of the Club World Cup.
The skipper found the net with a sensational free-kick in the second half, bringing an end to a string of chances that had passed the Blues by.
Chelsea were however forced into extra time after a two-hour weather delay, before goals from Christopher Nkunku, Pedro Neto and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall sunk their opponents.
As off the pitch Chelsea secured another significant financial injection, the players showed they are still fighting for more success at the end of this gruelling domestic season.
The Blues will have been more than aware of the threat of the opposition they were facing in the Round of 16. They avoided a tie with Bayern Munich after Benfica topped their group.

Reece James survives Club World Cup suspension
A number of top Chelsea players were under threat of being suspended for the quarter-finals of the competition due to already picking up one yellow card in the tournament.
Moises Caicedo was booked against Benfica, meaning he will miss the battle with Estevao Willian and Palmeiras.
James was one of those who needed to avoid a yellow card in order to keep himself available for the next round, with him proving to be a crucial element of Enzo Maresca’s side.
He is likely to start ahead of Malo Gusto and Josh Acheampong, and could be the man tasked with keeping future star Estevao quiet.
