Paul Mullin joins Wigan Athletic on loan
The news that Wrexham fans had been dreading but expecting – Paul Mullin joined Wigan Athletic on a season-long loan deal.
Wrexham can recall Mullin in January and there is no option to buy the striker for Wigan, leaving the door open for a sensational return to the Racecourse Ground.
Parkinson had a conversation with Mullin and the duo agreed that it was best for his career to go and play regular first-team football somewhere to recapture his form.

Wrexham in talks for Stuart Armstrong
Parkinson is prioritising a midfielder or two this summer and Wrexham are in talks with Stuart Armstrong over a potential free transfer.
The Red Dragons stand a ‘very good chance’ of landing the Scottish international but do face competition from a host of Championship rivals.
The 33-year-old spent last season at Sheffield Wednesday and would be an astute addition with bags of experience and an excellent range of passing.

Liverpool to allow Owen Beck to leave on loan
Liverpool plan to tie Owen Beck to a new contract before allowing the young left back the chance to move out on loan this season.
Wrexham are interested in Beck, who spent last season on loan at Blackburn Rovers but the Red Dragons face competition from Derby County and Rangers.
Premier League clubs are also monitoring Beck so it seems a tough deal to get over the line. However, Wrexham are firmly in the mix.

Will Boyle signs for Shrewsbury Town
Will Boyle has left Wrexham and officially signed for local rivals Shrewsbury Town as they prepare for life in League Two.
Gillingham looked to have been leading the race to sign Boyle but Shrewsbury came in with a late swoop for the 29-year-old centre back.
Parkinson explained Boyle’s departure with another player needing to play regular football and that was something that the Red Dragons could not offer.
