Jarrad Branthwaite could soon put pen to paper on a new deal at Everton.
The 23-year-old has been one of the Toffees’ most important players in recent years and has been heavily linked with an exit as a result.
This has seen the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool showcase an interest in the England international in recent months.
With that being said, David Moyes could be set to keep hold of his star defender beyond the summer as a new contract looks to be in the pipeline.

Branthwaite to sign new Everton contract
Having already lost a number of first-team aces this summer, the Evertonians won’t want to let go of any more key members of their squad.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
Having let go of Abdoulaye Doucoure and Dominic Calvert-Lewin at Goodison, there will likely be several incomings this summer.
Even if that is to be the case, there won’t be many better moves than keeping hold of the centre-back ready for the new season.
This comes after forming a stellar partnership with James Tarkowski to help make the L4 club one of the best defensive outfits in the Premier League.

As a result, it will be music to the ears of supporters that Branthwaite will sign a five-year deal at Everton within a week, according to the Mail on Sunday (29 June, page 89).
Having fended off elite interest from elsewhere, it is huge for the Blues to keep hold of the defender ahead of the move into the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Everton to be delighted with Branthwaite contract extension
There is so much to be positive about with the Toffees right now, with this contract news just the latest moment of joy on Merseyside.
It will now be interesting to see if the Englishman can maintain his level moving forward alongside the ex-Burnley man with Jordan Pickford in net for the Evertonians.
This contract may ultimately be a method to bring in a higher transfer fee for Branthwaite in the near future, but that can only be seen as a positive thing in itself.
