Malick Fofana has emerged as one of the most sought-after young talents in Europe this summer, with Liverpool and Arsenal both closely tracking the highly rated Belgian winger, according to sources cited by CaughtOffside.
The 20-year-old, currently at Lyon, enjoyed a breakout campaign last season, recording 11 goals and six assists while earning plaudits for his fearless dribbling, sharp decision-making, and explosive attacking play. His performances have not gone unnoticed, with several Premier League clubs monitoring his situation ahead of potential moves.
Lyon’s impending financial crisis, coupled with the club’s relegation to Ligue 2, has significantly weakened their negotiating position, forcing them to consider player sales. Fofana is expected to be among the first major departures as the French club scrambles to raise funds.
