Making moves: Jamie Gittens, Viktor Gyokeres, and Bryan Mbeumo are all nearing transfer deals
Chelsea took a huge step towards a crucial transfer target on Saturday, with reports claiming a deal for Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens is all but complete. The player is due to undergo a medical in the United States imminently. It would be the second major attacking signing of the summer for the Blues, after they brought in Liam Delap earlier this month. They are also said to be weighing up moves for Alejandro Garnacho and Marc-Andre ter Stegen, and have also been offered the chance to sign Emi Martinez.
Arsenal are looking to wrap three deals over the coming days, with Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga having undergone medicals, and talks with Valencia centre-back Cristhian Mosquera progressing well. There is ongoing interest in Benjamin Sesk, Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze for attacking reinforcements.
Manchester United have again won the race to sign Bryan Mbeumo, amid rival interest from Tottenham, but Brentford have rejected a second bid, worth £62.5m. Spurs could move on to Crystal Palace star Eze with Bournemouth demanding £70million for Antoine Semenyo. Kota Takai is set to become Thomas Frank's first signing. Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Milos Kerkez and are now plotting a stunning bid for Alexander Isak as Darwin Nunez heads for the exit.
