Manchester United's summer overhaul has failed to kick on since the signing of Matheus Cunha, but things could be about to heat up again.
Ruben Amorim may not be able to promise potential recruits European football, but he can offer them the opportunity to be part of a project. This seems to have been enough to sway Bryan Mbeumo. The Cameroon forward is set to join from Brentford in another transfer worth around £60million, with the Red Devils hoping to close the deal soon.
United's pre-season preparations are just around the corner. They're scheduled to play newly-promoted Leeds in Sweden in July, followed by three matches in the US as part of the Premier League Summer Series and, finally, a return home at Old Trafford against Fiorentina.
There will likely be numerous arrivals and departures before then. Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony are among those who could be sold, while Victor Lindelof and Christian Eriksen are set to depart when their contracts expire at the end of June.
Here, the Daily Star Sport look at the latest Manchester United transfer news.

Manchester United have been given a boost in their pursuit of Emi Martinez, with the goalkeeper said to welcome a move to Old Trafford. The Aston Villa and Argentina star has also been linked with Chelsea and clubs in the Saudi Pro League.
The Red Devils' interest in Martinez comes amidst uncertainty over the futures of Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir. However, third-choice keeper Tom Heaton is set to remain at Old Trafford after signing a new contract this week.
Following an emotional display from Martinez after Villa's final home game of the season, reporters asked boss Unai Emery about the player's future. "We will see about the team, the players, but of course, they are responding on the field, at the moment they are responding and they are so, so focused in how we are preparing and playing each match," Emery responded.

Despite previously passing up the opportunity to sign Jadon Sancho from Manchester United, Chelsea now seem unlikely to pursue Alejandro Garnacho. The winger was rumoured for a January switch to Stamford Bridge, but a summer move now seems unlikely.
Instead, the Blues have shifted their focus to Jamie Gittens and it's reported that a £55m agreement has been reached with Borussia Dortmund for the England U-21 international.
Gittens is currently part of Dortmund's Club World Cup squad after a move to Chelsea before the tournament's start was rejected by the Bundesliga outfit.
Amorim request to chiefs
According to Record, Ruben Amorim has made a special plea to the club's board to bring in his ally Acacio Valentim. The 49-year-old Valentim previously worked with Amorim at Braga and left the club earlier this year, and the Portuguese is reportedly eager for a reunion with his former coach.

After joining from Sporting, Amorim brought in his own coaching staff and could now add another new member.
Carlos Fernandes, Jorge Vital, Adelio Candido, Emanuel Ferro and Paulo Barreira were all added to United's ranks shortly after Amorim took over. Ruud van Nistelrooy was among the previous staff members to depart around the same time, with the Dutchman sacked by Leicester City last week, who he took charge of in November
