Ex-Bournemouth star Charlie Daniels has weighed in on Liverpool's latest acquisition, highly touting Milos Kerkez's potential impact at left-back and commenting on the dynamics should Andy Robertson stay this summer.
Kerkez cemented his $55 million move to Anfield last Thursday, quenching the transfer rumor fires about the Hungarian prodigy potentially joining the Premier League titans.
Despite considerable speculation earlier in the month linking the dependable Robertson with a switch to Atletico Madrid, a move to Spain is now looking more unlikely, and the Scot remains a crucial element of Liverpool's squad as he approaches the final year of his contract at Anfield.
Daniels, who donned Bournemouth colours from 2012 to 2020, has been closely following young talent Kerkez since his departure from the Vitality Stadium.
Presently coaching at Watford's academy, Daniels offered glowing remarks, endorsing the Reds' new signing as one of the most promising full-backs on the rise.
"I think that he is a fantastic left-back already but because he is so young he still has a lot to develop and a lot to learn and develop into," Daniels told the Liverpool Echo. "He is very attacking, he likes to get forward at every opportunity and he times his runs very well."

“I think he can mix it up well with his team-mates and he is a great character from what I hear. He is a really bubbly person to have around the place and I think he will fit right in with the squad that is there, I don't think it will take him much time to settle.
"He obviously knows Dominik Szoboszlai from the Hungarian national team so that will help him and I think he will get in there and be a replacement for Robertson, whenever that happens. Again, it's short, medium and long-term there at Liverpool.
"So he's got a lot of energy, enthusiasm but he has a lot to learn. Under the manager's guidance and his staff, I am sure they will make him a very good left-back."
On the internal competition, Daniels said: "Milos knows who Robertson is and he has watched him for a number of years and that is the right way to go about it.

"If the team wants to have success then everyone needs to be on the same page and everyone needs to realize that everyone is needed to win the Premier League, Champions League, the Cups.
"Everyone is a part of it and that is why the best teams have so much success because they work together. Yes there is competition between players but they are not against each other they are driving each other to be better and better.
"Together we have to work hard and encourage each other because at some point I am going to be playing and at some point, you're going to be playing because we are at Liverpool Football Club, so that is the way it is going to be because we've got so many games coming up."
Liverpool will face Championship side Preston North End in a friendly match on July 13, in which Kerkez is expected to feature.
