Arsenal are poised to kick off their 2025 summer transfer window with a trio of significant signings, as Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard, and Kepa Arrizabalaga edge closer to joining Mikel Arteta’s squad.
The Gunners have been busy finalising deals for the Real Sociedad midfielder, Brentford captain, and Chelsea goalkeeper, with medicals and announcements imminent, signalling an ambitious push for the 2025/26 Premier League title.
Martin Zubimendi, the 26-year-old Spanish midfielder, is set to become Arsenal’s marquee signing. Reports confirm he was in London last week to finalise his £51.4 million (€60m) transfer from Real Sociedad, with the deal expected to be officially announced in early July due to financial year considerations.

Zubimendi, who has completed his medical, is seen as a long-term replacement for Thomas Partey, offering defensive solidity and playmaking in a double pivot alongside Declan Rice.
His arrival, long coveted by Arteta, has sparked excitement among fans, with Sky Sports noting his 236 appearances for Sociedad and Euro 2024 success with Spain.
Christian Norgaard, the 31-year-old Brentford captain, is another key addition. Arsenal agreed a £10 million fee plus add-ons for the Danish midfielder, with the players’ medical scheduled for early next week.
His signing, expected to be confirmed this weekend, brings experience and a knack for breaking down compact defenses, ranking among the Premier League’s top 10 for progressive passes last season.

Norgaard will provide depth and versatility, likely playing a supporting role to Zubimendi and Rice, as Arsenal prepare for Partey’s potential departure.
Kepa Arrizabalaga, the 29-year-old Spanish goalkeeper, is set to join as David Raya’s backup after Arsenal activated his £5 million release clause from Chelsea.
Having completed his medical, Kepa’s move is on the verge of announcement, possibly as early as this weekend. His statistically strong loan spell at Bournemouth last season makes him a cost-effective addition to bolster Arsenal’s goalkeeping options.
With these signings, Arsenal are addressing key squad needs while maintaining financial discipline. Fans eagerly await official confirmations, expected imminently, as Arteta builds a formidable squad to challenge for silverware.
