Cowboys fans, the wait is almost over. Training camp kicks off in less than a month, so if you’re planning on going to Oxnard, here’s what you need to know.
The Cowboys are headed to California for their 66th training camp and 44th in Southern California. Training camp begins on Tuesday, July 22. Fans can attend all practice sessions throughout the camp for free.
The Cowboys will host an opening fan event and ceremony called Cowboys Back Together Weekend on the morning of Saturday, July 26. The event will feature live music, appearances by Cowboys Alumni, Dallas Cowboys mascot, Rowdy, a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders autograph signing, exclusive merchandise, prizes and giveaways. An opening ceremony will begin at 11:15 a.m. with remarks from owner Jerry Jones before practice.
The Cowboys will also host a Heroes Appreciation Day honoring military personnel and first responders on Thursday, July 31.
Training camp in Oxnard concludes on Aug. 13. The Cowboys return to AT&T Stadium to host the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday, Aug. 16.
Following the Aug. 16 preseason matchup, the Cowboys will hold the remainder of their preseason practices at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco. Some practices will be open to the public. Those dates will be announced at a later date.
