Chelsea are expected to have answers ready to resolve an issue with co-owner Todd Boehly and the Premier League.
The American billionaire has come under fire for some of his decisions since taking over the club alongside Clearlake Capital in May 2022.
The Blues chairman is a director of Vivid Seats, which facilitates the resale of Premier League match tickets at up to £20,000.
In an open letter sent to Premier League chief executive Richard Masters in March, the Chelsea Supporters’ Trust asked the league to “act and investigate” Boehly’s involvement in the company.
The Mail reported on 22 June the Premier League has entered into talks with Chelsea amid Boehly’s controversial ownership of Vivid Seats.
Speaking at a Football Supporters’ Association event last week, Masters revealed the Premier League has written to the club to seek clarification on their position with ticket resellers.

Finance expert Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider Chelsea haven’t tried to hide their connection with Vivid Seats.
Chelsea’s latest accounts revealed Vivid Seats made a £93,000 payment to the club that was listed under “transactions with related parties”.
The American platform is listed as an “unauthorised ticket seller” by the Premier League.

Premier League ‘concerned’ after Chelsea ticket issue
Borson insisted the Premier League is likely concerned as Vivid Seats is not one of its approved sellers.
He told Football Insider: “Well, look, it’s not hidden.
“It’s been well flagged. I don’t think it’s that big a deal. The fact they’re asking questions about it, I think they’re probably concerned that the agency is not one of the approved agencies.
“But it seems to me that Chelsea must have known about that as an issue and must have an answer for that part of it.
“I don’t know whether it’ll be ‘Well, we’re not selling in the UK or we’re selling certain types of tickets’ or there’s some kind of rule that they don’t breach.
“I don’t know what that might be, but it’s pretty unlikely that Chelsea are not aware of the potential issue here and, therefore, I think will probably have a good answer for the problem.
“I don’t know what the answer is, but I think it’s just not a hidden situation. Nobody discovered this problem.
“If you go in the back of the Chelsea accounts, it’s fully disclosed that it’s a related party of Todd Boehly.
“Nobody can argue that it’s been discovered by anybody, so my gut feeling is that it won’t be an issue for Chelsea.”
