Manchester United academy star JJ Gabriel is set to stay at the club this summer, according to reports - with the youngster performing a u-turn on his decision to depart the club.
The report by Daily Mail journalist Nathan Salt states that Gabriel has committed to stay at United, with the 14-year-old having looked set to leave this summer before a 'crucial intervention' from club chiefs.
Namely, sporting director Jason Wilcox and official Matt Hargreaves have played a huge part in convincing the teenager to stay at the club, with 'key meetings' over the past week having swung a deal to keep the talent who Salt previously compared to Neymar.
There is another window of opportunity for Gabriel to leave once he turns 16, but Salt further claims that the past seven days have been 'incredibly positive' about his future at United beyond that period of time.
