Inter Miami CF will face their toughest challenge yet at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup when they take on UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain in the Round of 16 on Sunday.
Miami finished second behind Palmeiras (on goal differential) in Group A, with one win and two draws for five points. The Herons opened the tournament with a 0-0 draw with Al Ahly. Lionel Messi and Co. then beat Porto 2-1 before battling out a thrilling 2-2 draw with Palmeiras on Matchday 3.
Miami became the first MLS team in history to beat a European opponent in a FIFA competition with their win over Porto, thanks to a wonderful free-kick from Messi in the second half.
PSG, meanwhile, topped a loaded Group B with six points, finishing above Botafogo on goal difference. The treble winners beat Atlético Madrid 4-0 to kick-off their tournament, but were shocked by Botafogo in a 1-0 loss on Matchday 2. The European champions defeated the Seattle Sounders 2-0 to wrap up the group phase and advance to the knockout rounds.

The mercurial midfield trio of Fabian Ruiz, Joao Neves and Vitinha should once again feature in the middle of the park, while the world-class full-back tandem of Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes will look to cause Miami problems all afternoon.
PSG predicted starting lineup (4-3-3): Gianluigi Donnarumma (GK) – Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, William Pacho, Nuno Mendes – Fabian Ruiz, Vitinha, Joao Neves – Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Gonçalo Ramos, Desiré Doué.
