Patrick Bamford may have no future at Elland Road as Leeds set their sights on a big-money move for a new striker.
The 31-year-old failed to start a single league game for the West Yorkshire outfit last term, and played just 235 minutes of league football as they raced to the Championship title.
Bamford has fallen firmly down the pecking order, and that only looks set to continue following the Whites’ promotion to the Premier League.
Bringing in a new striker is likely to be high on Daniel Farke’s list of priorities this summer, as he looks to provide additional firepower to support Joel Piroe.

Leeds are prepared to pay £17m for Gonzalo Garcia
Leeds’ failure to finalise a deal for Habib Diarra has provided a major blow recently, after they had begun the summer on the front foot in the transfer market.

They look set to miss out to Sunderland over the signing of the French youngster, and the newly-promoted duo appear to be shopping in very similar markets, as they now prepare to go toe to toe for another promising talent.
The Premier League pair are both readying are both understood to be lining up offers for Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Garcia, according to Fichajes (28 June).
Garcia has impressed during the Spanish giants’ Club World Cup campaign, when he scored in the group stage clashes with Al Hilal and Red Bull Salzburg.
The 21-year-old has a prolific record for Real’s second-string side, having notched 25 goals from just 36 games last season.
Sunderland are thought to be preparing a loan offer for Garcia, which would become a permanent deal if they were to survive in the Premier League.
However, Leeds are taking a more direct approach and are expected to table an offer of £17million for the starlet. Madrid are currently expected to try and insert a £25.6m buy-back clause if that deal does come to fruition.
If Leeds sign Garcia it will mean the end for Bamford
Bamford has been hotly tipped to depart Elland Road this summer, and if the Whites could get a deal over the line for Garcia, it would surely spell the end of the 31-year-old’s time with the club.

Bamford’s Leeds stats.
The frontman played a vital role in Leeds’ promotion under Marcelo Bielsa, and was then prolific as they established themselves back in the top flight.
However, injuries have become a consistent part of his game over the years, and his powers have gradually waned to the point where he is now little more than a squad depth option for Farke.
The German boss will know that he will need countless additions if his side are to have a chance of beating the drop, and that will only result in Bamford being pushed further and further down the pecking order.
With that in mind, if the Garcia signing goes through, then it would be best for all parties if Bamford says an emotional goodbye and moves elsewhere.
