Wolves would’ve been watching both the U19 and U21 European Championships closely with two transfer targets in action.
Wolves were linked to Elliott as the versatile forward looks to spread his wings after a lacklustre season at Liverpool.
While collecting his second Premier League winners’ medal, the 22-year-old secured only two league starts under Arne Slot, signalling that change is needed.
Elliott doesn’t want to waste his career at Liverpool, more so following an emphatic time at the U21 Euros with England.
As England U21 beat Germany U21 to win the competition, Elliott earned the headlines, but it’s become apparent that the forward wasn’t the only player that Wolves have been looking at in action this summer.

Wolves register transfer interest in Joeri Heerkens
Lee Carsley praised Elliott highly during the tournament, which was unsurprising as the Englishman scored five goals in six appearances.
Running concurrently with the U21 Euros was the U19 Euros, a competition that would’ve also caught the attention of those at Molineux.
It’s been reported by Czech outlet Infotbal that Wolves have registered an interest in Dutch goalkeeper Joeri Heerkens, who is currently a part of Sparta Prague’s B team.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
After a superb time at the U19 Euros with the Netherlands, Heerkens turned heads at Ajax, Wolves and Como.
Interest in the 19-year-old comes at an interesting time, as it’s been reported that Wolves will look for a new goalkeeper this summer.
There is a problem that the Old Gold could face in their pursuit of Heerkens, as the teenager is an Ajax fan, so with his boyhood club interested, Wolves will have to present something particularly appealing.
The Premier League package could be enough in that sense, but for now, interest is simply outlined, with no plan to move for the player listed just yet.

Heerkens was superb at the U19 Euros for the Netherlands
As Elliott won the U21 Euros with England, Heerkens won the U19 Euros with the Netherlands.
Just as the Liverpool ace starred for the Young Lions, the fellow Wolves target played a pivotal role for his country in his age group’s tournament.

Averaging a match rating of 7.70, Heerkens conceded only three goals at the tournament, keeping three clean sheets and conceding an average of 0.6 goals per game.
It’s no surprise that the young shot stopper is impressing those in the West Midlands, as well as having admirers in both his homeland and in Italy.
It will be fascinating to see if Wolves can lure the youngster to Molineux and what his role could be at the club given the anticipated change between the sticks.
