Crystal Palace are in danger of losing some key players this summer as speculation continues to surround the likes of Eberechi Eze and Jean-Philippe Mateta.
However, the players are still enjoying the off-season following their tremendous FA Cup success and are set to return to Palace for pre-season training on 1 July.
Oliver Glasner is planning to keep hold of his best players following their cup win as they step up preparations for a season in the Europa League if things go as planned.
Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Palace are advancing in contract talks with Mateta despite interest from the Red Devils.
The French striker’s current contract is set to run until 2027, but Palace are keen to commit his long-term future to the club as a crucial part of Glasner’s plans.
Meanwhile, Brown told Football Insider that Palace will hold out for Eze’s release clause to be triggered amid confidence they can hang on to their star men.

Eze sends Mateta new message amid Crystal Palace speculation
Mateta took to social media to share his progress during the off-season with images of himself training on a beach in Rio de Janeiro with a ball at his feet.
Links with moves to the likes of Man United are not believed to have affected his mindset, and he will return to Palace hungry for the new season to begin.
The same, it seems, goes for Eze despite speculation surrounding potential moves to Arsenal and Tottenham following an excellent season in South London.
Now, taking to Instagram, Eze dropped a new hint about his future as in response to the striker’s recent “Building something special” post, he replied: “Very excited to see what you’re building”.
The social media post also received replies from Man City new-boy Rayan Cherki and Daniel Munoz, while Maxence Lacroix liked Mateta’s image.
Tyler Dibling update emerges at Selhurst Park
While they remain determined to keep hold of their best players this summer, the Eagles are also aiming to strengthen Glasner’s squad with new additions.
Brown told Football Insider on 28 June that Crystal Palace will rival Newcastle for Tyler Dibling as they hold a strong interest in the Southampton star.
The Eagles are confident that if a compromise can be reached over his “unrealistic” price tag, they could tempt the winger to choose their offer ahead of their rivals.
This comes after Football Insider revealed on 30 May that Tottenham have had second thoughts about signing Dibling due to his lofty £55million asking price.
