Manchester United attacking midfielder Mason Mount has been linked with a move to Aston Villa this summer.
Dr Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has highlighted the risk of signing him, given his underwhelming fitness record in recent seasons.
The 26-year-old has played just 30 league games since joining Manchester United from Chelsea in 2023.

Mount signing a risk given his history of hamstring injuries
Mount’s history of hamstring injuries will be a concern for any club keen on signing him, according to Dr Brar.
Villa are keen on the Manchester United midfielder, but have been warned against securing his services.

Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News: “Villa may take a closer look at his history of hamstring injuries, particularly with him suffering two of them last season.

“*While it helps that he’s used to the Premier League’s nature, this is a risky one.*“

Aston Villa must avoid signing Mount this summer
Despite Mount’s extensive Premier League experience, 159 games, with Chelsea and Manchester United, Aston Villa should steer clear of signing him due to his limited impact and injury concerns.
His goal and assist contributions have been inconsistent, failing to match the expectations set by his high-profile transfer to United.
Recurring injuries have further diminished his reliability, restricting his availability in recent seasons.
For Villa, aiming to cement their top-six status under Unai Emery, a more dependable and dynamic midfielder is essential.
Targeting a player who can consistently influence games and fit Emery’s high-intensity, possession-based system would better serve the Villa Park outfit’s ambitions, ensuring they bolster their squad with someone capable of delivering regular, high-quality performances.
