Trouble could be around the corner for several Newcastle United stars. Efforts have been made in recent months to tie down the likes of Dan Burn and Fabian Schar.
Callum Wilson - a St James’ Park veteran and trusted Eddie Howe lieutenant - is heading into the final days of his deal as he mulls over a fresh Newcastle contract. The fast-paced nature of post-takeover life has resulted in a tinge of sadness when long-serving players leave.
Last year, it was Paul Dummett and Matt Ritchie who bid farewell after years of dedicated service. Wilson will be given a similar send-off by the Newcastle faithful if his black-and-white days come to an end on June 30.
But what about next year? NewcastleWorld has profiled the seven stars set to leave in 2026 providing they are not offered fresh deals.
