Brentford are facing “big problems” as a rebuild is underway following multiple changes this summer.
Former manager Thomas Frank has joined Tottenham as their new boss following several successful years in west London.
It was announced on 27 June Keith Andrews is replacing Frank at Brentford as he looks to continue their progress under the Dane.
The 44-year-old has not yet held the top job anywhere in senior management since retiring from playing at MK Dons in 2015.
The Irishman joined Brentford last year as their set-piece coach and has now been trusted to make the step up into the managerial position.
Finance expert Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider it will be “tricky” for the Bees to rebuild this summer.

Brentford set for third-party investment
Borson revealed there could soon be a third party investing in Brentford as they look to undertake their summer rebuild.
He told Football Insider: “They have got huge PSR capacity, so that’s not the issue.
“There is a rebuild and it’s very hard isn’t it in terms of dealing with losing the manager, appointing a new manager, losing your captain and Mbeumo.
“These are big problems even with the money.
“The money is not the primary concern at Brentford, and there’s some talk also about third-party money coming in to bolster the balance sheet and raise some money for the club and reduce Benham’s interest.
“I don’t think it’s necessarily a PSR or a cash issue.
“It’s just about actually how you execute a rebuild for a club like Brentford and that is obviously a tricky situation, especially because there are other players who are also attracting interest from elsewhere.”

Man United pushing hard to sign Bryan Mbeumo
Former Old Trafford chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider Man United are pushing hard to sign Mbeumo and are continuing talks with Brentford “behind closed doors” after submitting a new bid.
Ruben Amorim’s side have seen a £62.5million bid rejected for the Cameroon international in recent days.
The 25-year-old registered 20 goals and nine assists in 42 appearances in the 2024-25 season.
