This could see a swoop for the ex-Fulham youngster make complete sense, especially if he is keen on regular first-team football in the Premier League.

Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Allen said: “I think he would be a good addition at Aston Villa.
“I would be surprised if Liverpool want to sell him because they will need at least 24 quality players next season.
“They’ve got European football, so they will need to rotate throughout the season.
“With Harvey Elliott, he always comes on and changes games, he makes something happen in almost every game he plays.
“*He’d be a good signing, he’s a good player, and from what I can gather, he’s a top bloke to have in your squad as well.*“
