Liverpool fans are facing a big question this week: was it the right call to let Jarell Quansah leave?
The 22-year-old defender looks set to complete his move to Bayer Leverkusen after a standout summer with England’s U21s.
Quansah wrapped up his season on a high, playing every minute as England clinched the U21 European Championship with a 3-2 win over Germany.
But his time at Anfield now appears over, at least for the moment.
He will undergo a medical in Germany on Monday before signing a deal with Erik Ten Hag’s side (via reports by Florian Plettenberg).

A lucrative deal with future options
Liverpool agreed to sell Quansah for an initial £30 million fee, with add-ons that could push the figure to £35 million.
On paper, that looks like smart business for a young defender who only started 13 games last season.
But the inclusion of a buy-back clause shows the Reds still value his potential.
Reports by Fabrizio Romano suggest Liverpool can re-sign Quansah for at least £60 million, and potentially up to £70 million if he hits performance targets in Germany.
That safety net gives the club future control over a player many still see as one of Europe’s most promising centre-backs.
Quansah’s performances have impressed scouts across the continent.
From his early loan at Bristol Rovers to lifting the Premier League with Liverpool, he has built a reputation for composure and maturity well beyond his years.
While many supporters feel mixed emotions, Quansah himself has stayed grounded.
Reflecting on his progress, he recently said (via Liverpool FC):
“I can take massive learnings from the three seasons I’ve been in professional football, from Bristol to now. I’m in a very good position to take the next step.”
That next step is about to begin in Germany.
Whether Liverpool will regret letting him take it is a debate that won’t go away anytime soon.
