The Lionesses got the perfect send-off to UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 with a 7-0 win over Jamaica at King Power Stadium on Sunday.
Four of our players were involved with Leah Williamson, Beth Mead and Alessia Russo all starting in Leicester, while Chloe Kelly came on for Lauren Hemp in the 63rd minute.
Russo, who played 75 minutes before making way for Aggie Beever-Jones, got England’s fifth goal of the afternoon by getting on the end of a Lauren James cross. She also provided the assist for the fourth goal, scored by Georgia Stanway.
Mead added the cherry on top of the performance with England's seventh goal late on.
Sarina Wiegman’s side take on France, Netherlands and and Wales in the group stage of the Euros, with the tournament starting on Wednesday.
